Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) for major bowel surgery app for iPhone and iPad

In 2013 we launched a Patient Information DVD specifically to explain the concepts of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery for patients coming in for major bowel surgery. This DVD was in fact an offshoot of an original, award winning DVD which focused on the whole patient journey. All of the filming was undertaken at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, under the Directorship of Professor P. N. Haray a Consultant Surgeon and visiting Professor of Coloproctology at The University of South Wales. The feedback from this DVD was extremely positive, both as an information source for patients as well as an educational tool for staff.
It was felt that the content of the DVD would benefit patients, their families and staff not only in the Welsh valleys, but globally too.
So here is the App version. It contains the same information as the DVD whilst taking advantage of the unique levels of interactivity an app offers.
We hope this App, like the DVD before, provides information and support to both patients and staff throughout the world.
